I use AI to study real reading behaviour and suggest calmer routes through complex documents.

Terms and conditions

When I describe how Sethanoriva works, I want to be clear about the rules that sit underneath it. These terms and conditions explain how you may use the Service, what I expect from you, and what you can reasonably expect from me. They cover topics like eligibility, acceptable use, data handling references, and how we handle disagreements. Please read them carefully before relying on the Service for important work with documents.

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Sethanoriva, whether to browse this site or to work with AI intelligent reading workflows, you agree that these terms and conditions form a binding agreement between you and me. If you do not accept them, you should stop using the site and any related services. I may update these terms from time to time, and continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised version.

Key definitions

To keep these terms readable, I use a few defined words with specific meanings. This section explains them so you can see how they apply across the rest of the document. If a word is not defined here, it should be understood in its ordinary sense under South African law.

“Service” means the Sethanoriva website at sethanoriva.sbs and any related online tools, interfaces, or AI driven reading workflow features that I make available to you. This includes experimental or beta functionality unless I clearly state that different conditions apply. References to the Service cover both the public site and any authenticated areas where you work with documents, signals, or settings.

“User” means any person or organisation that accesses or uses the Service, whether directly or through an account created for them. This includes visitors who only browse information pages, as well as team members who interact with AI intelligent reading workflows inside a workspace. When I use “you” in these terms, I am referring to the User in this broad sense.

“Content” means all text, images, data, documents, comments, annotations, and other material that appear on or through the Service. This includes material I provide, such as explanations and examples, and material you provide, such as uploaded documents, notes, or configuration details. Where I need to distinguish, I use “Your Content” and “My Content.”

“Reading behaviour signals” means metadata about how Users interact with documents through the Service. Examples include which documents are opened, approximate scroll depth, revisit patterns, and locations of highlights or comments. These signals help the AI suggest reading sequences and impactful sections, but they are distinct from the underlying document text itself.

Using the service

Subject to these terms, I grant you a limited right to access and use the Service for your internal purposes. You may configure reading workflows, upload documents, and interact with AI generated suggestions within the boundaries of your plan and the law. I may introduce usage limits, feature tiers, or access controls to protect system stability and ensure fair use. You agree not to misuse the Service or attempt to access areas or data you are not authorised to see.

Eligibility

You may use the Service only if you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your place of residence or incorporation. If you access the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation. You also agree to use the Service in compliance with all laws that apply to you, including data protection and workplace rules.

The Service is not designed for use by children. If you are under the age at which you can legally consent to data processing or contracts in your country, you should not use the Service without appropriate oversight and permission from a responsible adult or organisation.

Your responsibilities

Using Sethanoriva effectively means understanding both what the Service offers and what remains firmly in your control. This section sets out your main responsibilities so that expectations are clear on both sides and so that AI reading workflows can operate in a way that respects people, documents, and legal boundaries.

  • •

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the documents, notes, and other materials you add to the Service. If you upload sensitive or regulated content, you must ensure that doing so complies with your own obligations, internal policies, and applicable law. I do not review Your Content for compliance before you use the Service, so you should take care before sharing or processing information that could create risk for your organisation.

  • •

You are responsible for managing access to your account and any workspaces you administer. This includes choosing strong passwords, using additional security measures where available, and promptly removing access for people who should no longer use the Service. If you suspect unauthorised access, you should notify me as soon as reasonably possible so I can help investigate and, where appropriate, limit further risk.

  • •

You remain responsible for decisions you make based on insights or suggestions generated by the Service. AI reading workflows are designed to highlight patterns and propose routes, not to replace human judgement. You should always consider the context of your documents, the limits of automated analysis, and the possibility that results may vary or contain errors before acting on them.

  • •

If you act on behalf of an organisation, you are responsible for informing your colleagues about how the Service works, including how reading behaviour signals are used. You should ensure that any required notices, consents, or policies are in place within your organisation before people start using Sethanoriva, especially where local laws impose specific transparency or consultation duties.

Prohibited uses

To keep the Service reliable and respectful of everyone involved, I need to set clear boundaries on how it may and may not be used. These rules protect you, other Users, and the integrity of the underlying systems that support AI intelligent reading workflows.

  • •

You must not use the Service in any way that breaks the law, infringes intellectual property rights, or violates confidentiality obligations. This includes uploading documents that you are not authorised to share, misusing reading behaviour data to monitor individuals in ways that breach workplace or privacy rules, or attempting to bypass access controls and security features.

  • •

You may not attempt to interfere with the normal operation of the Service. Examples include introducing malware, overloading systems with automated requests, probing for vulnerabilities without permission, or using the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages. Any activity that aims to disrupt other Users, degrade performance, or gain unauthorised access to data or infrastructure is strictly prohibited and may lead to suspension or termination.

  • •

You must not use the Service to create, store, or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, or intentionally deceptive. This includes material that promotes violence, incites discrimination, or misrepresents the nature of the Service itself. You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content complies with applicable laws and does not mislead others about what Sethanoriva does or how AI reading workflows operate.

  • •

You may not resell, sublicense, or otherwise provide the Service to third parties as if it were your own product, unless we have a separate written agreement that allows this. Similarly, you may not scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the Service for the purpose of building a competing offering or training unrelated systems without my explicit permission, except where such restrictions are not allowed by law.

  • •

You must not try to circumvent usage limits, feature gates, or plan restrictions through technical workarounds or misrepresentation. If you need different access or capabilities, contact me to discuss appropriate arrangements instead of trying to manipulate the Service. I reserve the right to investigate and act on suspected misuse, which may include logging access details and cooperating with relevant authorities where necessary.

Your content

You retain ownership of Your Content, including documents, notes, and configuration details you provide through the Service. By submitting or uploading Content, you grant me a limited licence to host, process, analyse, and display it as needed to operate the Service, improve AI reading workflows, and provide support. This licence is non exclusive and lasts only as long as Your Content is stored in the Service, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business records.

Rights in your content

You are responsible for ensuring that you have all necessary rights to grant this licence and that Your Content does not infringe the rights of others. If someone raises a credible concern about Your Content, I may ask you to respond, restrict access, or remove the material. I may also take steps on my own initiative where required by law or where Your Content clearly breaches these terms.

Intellectual property

I retain all intellectual property rights in and to the Service, including underlying software, algorithms, designs, and documentation. Using the Service does not transfer any ownership to you. You receive a limited, non exclusive, non transferable right to access and use the Service in line with these terms and any applicable plan. You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service except where allowed by mandatory law.

Privacy and data

Sethanoriva processes personal data and reading behaviour signals to provide and improve AI intelligent reading workflows. I explain how data is collected, used, shared, and protected in the separate privacy policy. That document also describes your rights and choices, including how to access, correct, or delete certain information. You should review the privacy policy alongside these terms so you understand both the contractual and data handling aspects of using the Service.

General disclaimer

I want you to understand what the Service can and cannot do for you. Sethanoriva is designed to analyse reading behaviour and propose intelligent workflows, but it is not a substitute for professional judgement or tailored advice. This section explains the main limitations and clarifies that results may vary between teams, documents, and contexts.

Outcome expectations

Any references on this site or within the Service to time savings, improved focus, or workflow benefits are illustrative and based on general experience. They are not promises to you personally. Your results depend on your documents, configuration choices, and team habits. You should not make critical decisions solely on the basis of examples or scenarios shown here without considering your own context and, where appropriate, seeking professional input.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses that arise from your use of the Service or inability to use it, including lost time, lost opportunities, or lost data. Any total liability connected with the Service is limited to the amount you have paid directly for access during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, if any. If you access the Service without direct payment, your only remedy is to stop using it.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold me harmless from claims, damages, losses, or costs that arise from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of someone else’s rights. This includes reasonable legal fees directly connected to such claims. I expect you to act responsibly, respond promptly to concerns, and cooperate in good faith if an issue linked to your use of the Service needs to be addressed.

Dispute resolution

If something goes wrong, I prefer to resolve issues through clear communication rather than immediate escalation. This section explains how I suggest we approach disagreements about these terms or the Service, and how this fits with formal legal options that may be available to you.

Arbitration

If we cannot resolve a dispute through direct discussion, we may agree in writing to refer the matter to arbitration. In that case, the arbitration will take place in South Africa, follow a recognised set of procedural rules, and be conducted in English. The arbitrator’s decision will be final and binding, except where applicable law allows limited review. Each side will normally bear its own costs unless the arbitrator decides otherwise.

Arbitration is an option, not an obligation. You and I can still choose to pursue other lawful avenues for resolving disputes, such as mediation or proceedings before a competent court. Nothing in this section removes rights you may have under mandatory laws in your country, particularly around consumer protection or access to public courts.

Online dispute resolution

If you are based in a region that offers online dispute resolution tools, you may have the option to use those platforms in addition to the approaches described here. These mechanisms can sometimes help structure communication between you and me, but they do not replace your right to seek relief in a competent court or through agreed arbitration, subject to applicable law.

Applicable law

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of South Africa. I apply South African law regardless of conflict of law principles, to the extent permitted in your region. Mandatory consumer protections in your own country still apply where relevant, but the baseline interpretation of these terms comes from South African legislation and case law.

Termination

I may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, misuse the Service, or create risks for other Users or the underlying systems. Where reasonable, I will try to give you notice and an opportunity to address the issue before taking permanent action. You may stop using the Service at any time. Termination does not remove obligations that by their nature should continue, such as confidentiality, intellectual property, and limitation of liability provisions.

Changes to terms

I may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, legal requirements, or operational practices. When I do, I will adjust the “Last updated” date and may highlight material changes on the site. In some cases, I may ask you to accept new terms explicitly before continuing to use certain features. If you continue using the Service after updated terms take effect, you are agreeing to the new version. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a competent authority, that part will be treated as modified or removed to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining sections will continue in full force, and the overall agreement should be interpreted in a way that best reflects the original intent. The fact that one clause fails does not mean the entire set of terms falls away.

Entire agreement

These terms, together with any additional notices or policies that I reference here or present within the Service, form the entire agreement between you and me regarding your use of Sethanoriva. They replace any earlier discussions, emails, or informal understandings about the same subject. If I offer specific written terms for a pilot, paid plan, or integration, those will apply alongside these terms, and any direct conflict will be resolved by giving priority to the more specific written agreement.

Contact

If you have questions about these terms, or if something here feels unclear in light of how your organisation uses Sethanoriva, you can reach out using the contact details on the contact page. I will do my best to explain the intent of each section in plain language, while keeping within the limits of what I am able to change or confirm.
